Lookin’ Sharp!

Posted on September 30, 2009

Sorry guys… couldn’t resist!  haha!  This is a family that I have known for six years… give or take.  I taught their oldest when he was in Junior Kindergarten… he’s now in Grade Four!  Ew, feeling old for a moment… how time flies, it’s unbelievable.  Nonetheless, these guys are great to be around and taking their photos was so much fun… watching them all interact and giggle with each other, I loved it!  Here’s a few from our day down at Echodale!

Mini Sessions For Christmas!

Posted on September 23, 2009

So I got a great idea from a new friend, and decided to try out a day of mini sessions to accomodate all my clients who are requesting Fall photos.  We spent a morning at Kin Coulee this week, and the colours are amazing already… who doesn’t want their family photos taken with all that beauty as a backdrop?!  I know we’ll be having ours for sure!  It is really hard to get everyone booked and sessions completed in the Fall, plus all the editing time necessary to finish them off and have them ready for Christmas cards, so I think these mini sessions just might be the answer!  Take a look…

So it would be quick enough to keep the husband and kids happy, but you will still get your favourite 8 images on a disc as well as 20 5×7 cards ready to go for Christmas!  Sounds good… hmmm, I wonder if I can take my OWN family photos this year….  haha!

I’m going to set up a gallery with samples of the Christmas cards I’ve designed this year… take a look in the “proofing” area, use the password Christmas.  Enjoy, and start deciding which style YOU would like for your cards this year!  (I can also personalize with names and year if you wish.)

In case of bad weather that day, we will reschedule for the following Saturday, October 24, same times and place.  A deposit will be required upon booking.  Hope to hear from you soon!

Corn Anyone?

Posted on September 22, 2009

Ok, so I must start by saying that this family includes my best friend from Elementary through High School, so I would truly do anything for her… in this case, tromping through a very dense corn field to find the perfect spot for family photos!  I have to admit, although we almost got lost trying to find our way out (well, a few of us :) ), and the crazy bugs, it was really cool to be exploring in there surrounded by the crop… loved it!  These kids are SO beautiful and remind me completely of their Mom, Auntie and Uncle when they were all little… it’s amazing how much I can see in them.  How special… and you know what?  Number 4 is on the way… can’t wait to meet him or her too!

Oh, and did I mention the cows got out?!  hee hee…

Surprise… It’s a girl! {Medicine Hat Baby Photographer}

Posted on September 14, 2009

Well, she finally arrived safe and sound… with anxious family and friends waiting to meet her, and she’s beautiful!  (Although, I get the feeling that a boy was expected to appear this time… haha!)  I was so excited to take this little girl’s photos and I was not disappointed… she slept like a dream and once she woke up, she even held her head up for a couple of shots!  She has a very proud and loving big sister who let me get a few photos of her too… so sweet with her little sister.  Congratulations you guys, can’t wait for the next one… haha!

Little Man

Posted on September 4, 2009

It has been a few years since I taught across the hall from this proud Mom of one of the most handsome and charming little guys I’ve met!  What a great day for catching up and getting shots of this cutie… oh and his parents of course…  I hope you love your photos.  (I’m enjoying the ones I got of “you know who” behind the scenes, “surfing” on the rocks… haha!)  You are all very blessed and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to preserve one little moment of your life together, thank you.
