Unique Downtown Medicine Hat Wedding {Medicine Hat Wedding Photographer}

Posted on September 18, 2010

When Marie contacted me well before her and Graham’s wedding, and told me all the details that they had planned… I was so excited to take their wedding photos!  The park, the unique use of peacock feathers in decor and floral arrangements, the sand ceremony, the music… everything was incredible.  Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Park in Medicine Hat, the site of the wedding ceremony itself was perfect… and little did I know that Graham’s Mom would have had SO MANY beautiful baskets of flowers brought in and arranged around the fountain, especially for them.  It was absolutely stunning!  They also had lots of personal touches in the ceremony, including a wonderful minister, beautiful music supplied by a close friend, and of course their three dogs… dressed appropriately for the occasion!  Too cute.  Once the ceremony was finished, the bride and groom, along with their awesome wedding party, spent a couple of hours with me in downtown Medicine Hat for the wedding portraits.  They were such good sports in the extreme heat that afternoon, and we had a great time getting some awesome photos and making memories for Marie and Graham.  I am so happy with the way these photos tell the story of the entire wedding day, and sincerely wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Hart the best of luck for a wonderful new life together!  It was a beautiful day guys, and thank you for letting me be part of it.

Gorgeous Baby Boy {Newborn Photographer}

Posted on September 17, 2010

Oh my goodness… this little man is so cute I can hardly stand it!  The little stinker was not easy to settle on the day of his first official photo shoot, but once he snuggled in, the magic started.  I think his Mommy and Daddy will agree that all the hard work we put into getting him to sleep, was well worth the final results ;)   Since he was premature, we waited quite a few weeks to take these photos, and he was still only just seven pounds at the time!  So tiny and precious.  I took along a variety of homemade hats etc. to test out, but we all settled on this perfect set… and since it looked so darn cute on him, I’m in the process of making him a slightly bigger newsboy cap for the winter.  It’s just perfect for him right?  Love it.  Collins Family… I hope you are cherishing every moment with your new little guy and that you will always love his newborn photos :)   Thanks for trusting me with them!  I can’t wait to watch him grow…

Family Photos in the Corn {Family Photographer}

Posted on September 17, 2010

I had the pleasure of once again photographing my friend’s beautiful family on their farm south of Burdett!  This corn field is right across from their home, and I loved using it as a background once again… so tall and beautiful.  The last time I took their family photo, their youngest daughter was brand spankin’ new… and now just look at her!!!  Wow!  Their kids are seriously some of the cutest, and most entertaining little people I have spent time with… I love them.  Although the boys were “over” having the camera in their faces after a short time, the oldest (gorgeous) girl was begging for more long after we thought we were finished!  haha!  Thank you Kielstra’s for once again letting me come and hang out on the farm with your family…  I can’t wait to do it again!

Glamour Shots For Char’s Makeup Artistry {Medicine Hat Photographer}

Posted on September 9, 2010

An old friend of mine got in touch with me a little while ago to talk about her new “Mobile Makeup” business that she has started here in Bow Island, and wanted to get some photos done to kick things off.  How fun does this sound right?!  Three young ladies went over to Char’s and got all glammed up, each with a different style in mind.  Add some awesome outfits, a hot sunny day and these were some of my favorite results!  We had fun cruisin’ the hometown looking for cool backgrounds, old buildings and just the right settings for each of the girls’ looks.  I loved having creative freedom to go in the direction I thought would best showcase Char’s makeup artistry skills… and had a blast taking these glamour shots!  Thanks for the fun ladies, and Char for letting my do my thing ;)   I can’t wait for round two in the future… stay tuned!  Char is available for graduation, wedding or special occasion makeup application and will gladly come to your house to provide the service… very cool!  Pssst…. her rates are really reasonable too by the way, so if you want to get in touch with her, send me a message and I’ll hook you up!
