Kasondra & Greg’s Engagement {Taber Engagement Photographer}

Kasondra and Greg are good friends of my sister and brother in law… you may have seen them here and there in THIS post from my sister’s wedding this past summer!  They are a fun loving, crazy couple who seem to be completely meant for each other and I’m so happy for them as they plan their wedding for later on this year.  We took their engagement photos on a chilly day at the beginning of December, but the cold fingers and toes were worth the beautiful photos we created!  Enjoy, and Congratulations you two!

Snowy Engagement Session {Medicine Hat Engagement Photographer}

I don’t think that we could have had a colder day to take these engagement photos near the river in Medicine Hat… seriously.  These two were so tough though, and really wanted to see through our ideas for their session, so we braved the cold and snow for the beautiful results!  I am really happy that the couple’s love and silliness were captured in their photos.  Congratulations once again to the two of you!

Family of Five on the Farm {Bow Island Family Photographer}

And here is… the Verekamp Family!  I was invited to their family farm just just outside of Bow Island, and was so excited that the crazy wind that we started our session in died down to a breeze, giving us perfect outdoor photo weather!  They have so many interesting things to see there… a wonderful garden area, perfect little chicken coop filled with beautiful chickens and rooster, as well as a nice corral and barn that houses several other animals such as goats and a llama… so neat.  The youngest girl in the family is in my class this year, and she and her sister are high on my daughter’s list of favorite kids, so it was fun that she got to tag along on this session and see all the animals as well!    Thanks so much for the unique experience and setting… we can’t wait until we have another visit!

A “Rae” of Sunshine {Medicine Hat Newborn Photographer}

Oh my goodness… this little bitty baby girl is so beautiful *sigh* that I could have spent hours with her.  Patience always pays off in newborn sessions, and this one was no different… all the rocking, bouncing and shooshing resulted in some very beautiful photos.  Momma and I go back a couple of years, when she was an Educational Assistant in my Kindergarten classroom.  (Both parents may look familiar from THIS wedding back in  September…)  I am so happy that they have a little girl of their own now, and am also thrilled that they are going to be married this coming summer!  Congratulations all around to the Hart Family! 

Halloween Traditions

Here is a selection of photos taken from a couple different Halloween parties we had this past year!  It is my second favorite “holiday” after Christmas, and my number of decor bins is growing yearly, much to my husband’s dismay… ha!  Nevertheless, it’s great fun and I truly enjoy all the preparation that goes into each and every part of the big day!  The following collage shows my first attempt at cake pops, pizza spiders (love how the filling oozed out of their mouths… hee hee) and magic wands… a BIG hit all around

This sweet little lady was SO in love with the pumpkins I brought along for her photo shoot… it was extremely cute and funny!  She was probably the most content little one that I’ve ever done a photo session with… just happy to pose no matter what we gave her, how many outfit changes, or where we placed her.  The best!  Thank you guys for letting me “play” with your beautiful girl… I hope to have another session with her one day soon.  She really is a doll!

I’m proud to say that the beautiful people in these photos are my cousins!  The Chrystal Family was visiting from Edmonton back in October, and we took a little time to head over to the Medicine Hat College to take some bright and fun family photos!  I personally think their little lady is the perfect model… and the little man, the funniest guy ever!  We had a great time visiting and catching up… wish we lived a few hours closer to one another, but… c’est la vie!  How about we make this a yearly tradition?  It would be my pleasure   xoxoxoxo

I was so lucky to spend a little time with the Bernhart family down at Echo Dale Park, just outside of Medicine Hat, in the Fall.  I have known the dad of the family for as long as I can remember… he was a friend of my sister throughout school many years ago!  It was really fun getting to visit and meet his wife and son, and I’m happy to have captured some fun moments with them… thanks!
