Family of Five on the Farm {Bow Island Family Photographer}

Posted on January 5, 2011

And here is… the Verekamp Family!  I was invited to their family farm just just outside of Bow Island, and was so excited that the crazy wind that we started our session in died down to a breeze, giving us perfect outdoor photo weather!  They have so many interesting things to see there… a wonderful garden area, perfect little chicken coop filled with beautiful chickens and rooster, as well as a nice corral and barn that houses several other animals such as goats and a llama… so neat.  The youngest girl in the family is in my class this year, and she and her sister are high on my daughter’s list of favorite kids, so it was fun that she got to tag along on this session and see all the animals as well!  :)   Thanks so much for the unique experience and setting… we can’t wait until we have another visit!

A “Rae” of Sunshine {Medicine Hat Newborn Photographer}

Posted on January 5, 2011

Oh my goodness… this little bitty baby girl is so beautiful *sigh* that I could have spent hours with her.  Patience always pays off in newborn sessions, and this one was no different… all the rocking, bouncing and shooshing resulted in some very beautiful photos.  Momma and I go back a couple of years, when she was an Educational Assistant in my Kindergarten classroom.  (Both parents may look familiar from THIS wedding back in  September…)  I am so happy that they have a little girl of their own now, and am also thrilled that they are going to be married this coming summer!  Congratulations all around to the Hart Family!  :)

Chrystal Family {Medicine Hat Photographer}

Posted on January 4, 2011

I’m proud to say that the beautiful people in these photos are my cousins!  The Chrystal Family was visiting from Edmonton back in October, and we took a little time to head over to the Medicine Hat College to take some bright and fun family photos!  I personally think their little lady is the perfect model… and the little man, the funniest guy ever!  We had a great time visiting and catching up… wish we lived a few hours closer to one another, but… c’est la vie!  How about we make this a yearly tradition?  It would be my pleasure :)   xoxoxoxo

Family of Three {Medicine Hat Photographer}

Posted on January 4, 2011

I was so lucky to spend a little time with the Bernhart family down at Echo Dale Park, just outside of Medicine Hat, in the Fall.  I have known the dad of the family for as long as I can remember… he was a friend of my sister throughout school many years ago!  It was really fun getting to visit and meet his wife and son, and I’m happy to have captured some fun moments with them… thanks!

Ready for Christmas? {Medicine Hat Photographer}

Posted on November 5, 2010

Soooo, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but… there are only 49 shopping days left until Christmas!  EEP!  I haven’t even gotten as far as asking my loved ones what they would like this year.  Seriously have to get on top of this situation soon…

But don’t worry, I have a great idea for you!  This is a gift for your… parents, grandparents, children, best friends… really, anybody.  (And if you’re the lady of the house… send this link to your hubby, they need a little help in the “perfect gift” area sometimes ;)

Call or email for more details on how you can give “The Perfect Gift” this Christmas!  I look forward to hearing from and working with a lot of happy “Giftees” in the New Year!!

Leaf Fights and Lots of Giggles! {Medicine Hat Family Photographer}

Posted on November 5, 2010

Oh my goodness… when these three gorgeous children hopped out of their family car at EchoDale Park, ready for our session… I was so excited!  Aren’t they beautiful?  And seriously the funniest, sweetest little people too!  I had a blast chasing after these three, plotting a leaf attack on Mom and Dad and photographing their “Uncle Ron” shoes too… haha!  There were so many great moments that day, that it was hard to choose some favorite photos to post here, but these ones made my list for sure.  I loved spending time with your family Gema and Dennis.  Thank you for letting me hang out and be goofy with your kids… I would do it again in a heartbeat :)

Canadine Family {Medicine Hat Family Photographer}

Posted on November 5, 2010

I met this family by chance last year, close to Christmas, while in line for photos with Santa at the Medicine Hat Mall!  I can’t remember exactly what happened, but I believe that the only camera they had with them, was a cell phone, haha!  So to save them the trouble of having to come back a brave the line for a second time in the same season, I took some photos of the kids with the jolly ‘ol man, then emailed them to the family!  I’m a strong believer in Karma, so was truly excited when they contacted me to take their family photos this Fall.  We had a gorgeous day, and such a beautiful location (by the duck pond between the Cultural Center and the Medicine Hat College).  They were a really fun family to be around and I enjoyed every minute of it!  Thankyou Canadine Family for a wonderful opportunity!

P.S.  Maybe we’ll see you at the “North Pole” again this winter ;)

She’s A Jewel! {Bow Island/Medicine Hat Newborn Photographer}

Posted on October 29, 2010

Do you remember seeing the beautiful Mommy and Daddy to Be from this session?  Well, I was so excited to finally meet the sweet baby girl that they were waiting for all that time!  She was SO relaxed and easy going, letting me wiggle her around, swing her into a snuggly slumber and take photos until my heart was content.  Mom was also relaxed and easy going, so it’s no wonder her little girl was a superstar during our photo session ;) .  Thank you Ellen and Todd for giving me the honor of preserving your memories of Jewel as a newborn… she really is precious.

Frog Races and Fuzzy Friends

Posted on October 29, 2010

So I’ve taken a LONG time deciding whether or not I should be using this blog to post my personal photos, experiences etc… and during this decision period, I haven’t been posting any.  It definitely takes a lot of extra time, but to be honest… I really miss doing it and celebrating the “little things” in our everyday lives that may be forgotten or overlooked in the long run.

Therefore… I’m going to start once again.

 This particular set of pictures brings back so many memories for me… not only of the fun day we had racing frogs and catching caterpillars with my daughter and Mom, but memories of doing the very same things with my family years ago when my sister and I were kids too!  We would catch as many frogs as we could find, then line them up and race them to see whose would be the fastest!  So silly and fun… and I’m so glad that my girl gets to have the same experiences that we will remember forever.

Funky Kids Chillin’ Downtown {Medicine Hat Family Photographer}

Posted on October 25, 2010

I have had the pleasure of getting to know these three kids and their parents… and dog Lilo :) … over the last few years!  It all began with a fun photo session for the whole family…  I don’t remember ever laughing so much and so hard during a session… it felt as if I’d known them for years.  Then, when the dad of the house needed some headshots taken for his new  business, I had stitches from laughter once again!  They are a great family all around… easy going, fun and full of life!

So when they called and asked for a fun, funky session for the kids only this time… I was IN!  We had a great time wandering around downtown Medicine Hat getting some unique urban shots with these three gorgeous young people.  They had the sweet looks and poses that were easy to work with… and I completely loved their hats too!  Thanks so much for the awesome experience and support you guys… can’t wait to hang out with your family again in the future!
